Leftover Suggestions: Turkey Shepherd's Pie

Ingredients:
2 cups cooked turkey meat, shredded from:
1 pkg. Fossil Farms' Turkey Whole Bird, any size from 8-10 lbs. to 20-22 lbs.
1 cup leftover vegetables
(e.g., carrots, peas, green beans), chopped into bite-sized pieces
Salt & black pepper, to taste
1 cup gravy, or enough to moisten
turkey mixture
2 cups mashed sweet potatoes or regular potatoes
½ cup shredded cheese
(cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite)

Oven
Shallow casserole dish

Method:
Preheat the Oven:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Prepare the Turkey Filling:
2. Shred the cooked turkey meat and place it in a mixing bowl.
3. Add the chopped leftover vegetables and season with salt and pepper.
4. Add enough gravy to the turkey mixture to make it moist but not too wet, then stir to combine.
Assemble the Casserole:
5. Spread the turkey and vegetable mixture evenly in the bottom of a shallow casserole dish.
6. Top the mixture with an even layer of mashed potatoes, smoothing it out with the back of a spoon.
Add Cheese and Bake:
7. Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the mashed potatoes.
8. Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for about 30 minutes, or until the top begins to brown and the dish is heated through.
