Venison Chorizo Salami Homemade Pizza

Prep & Cook Time: 42 minutes • Yields: 4-6 servings

Ingredients:
2 ¼ tsp. active yeast (1 packet)
1 ½ cups warm water (110°F/45°C)
3 ½ to 4 cups all-purpose flour
2 tbsp. olive oil
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
Pizza Toppings:
1 pkg. Fossil Farms' Venison & Wagyu Beef Chorizo Salami, 5oz
1 cup pizza sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup fresh spinach leaves
½ red onion, thinly sliced
1 tsp. dried oregano
Optional:
1 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
1 sprig of fresh parsley

Equipment:
Measuring cups and spoons
Oven
Large mixing bowl
Wooden spoon
Plastic wrap or damp cloth
Pizza peel or baking sheet
Parchment paper (optional)
Rolling pin
Pizza stone (optional)
Serving plates

Method:
Prepare the Pizza Dough:
1. In a large bowl, dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
2. Add the olive oil, salt, and 2 cups of flour to the yeast mixture. Mix until combined.
3. Gradually add the remaining flour, ½ cup at a time, until a soft dough forms.
4. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 6-8 minutes, until the dough is smooth and elastic.
5. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.
6. Punch down the dough and divide it into two equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball and let them rest for 10 minutes before rolling out.
Prepare the Pizza:
7. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven to preheat as well.
8. On a lightly floured surface, roll out each portion of dough into a 12-inch circle. Transfer the dough to a pizza
peel or baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
9. Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle the
shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
10. Arrange the sliced Venison & Wagyu Beef Chorizo Salami, fresh spinach leaves, and red onion slices over
the cheese.
11. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese, dried oregano, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using) over the top.
Bake the Pizza:
12. Carefully transfer the pizza onto the preheated pizza stone or place the baking sheet in the oven.
13. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
14. Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
