Our Story
Humble Beginnings
In 1995, brothers Lance and Todd Appelbaum experienced game meat for the first time. Impressed by the taste of these healthy and sustainable meats, they returned home with a vision to raise Ostrich and Bison on the East Coast.
Lance recalls, “Growing up, my brother [Todd] always wanted to be a farmer, and I always knew I wanted to run my own business. Right then and there, we realized, this is what we gotta do.” Just two years later, Fossil Farms was founded.

It is great ordering your Meat Pack Kits. I had to go to leaner meats and your Kits are great, reasonably priced for what you order. Nice that most meat is individual vacuum sealed. Shipping Deals I love when Free. Packaging for shipping is good with ice packs and styrofoam cooler.
