Our Story
Humble Beginnings
In 1995, brothers Lance and Todd Appelbaum experienced game meat for the first time. Impressed by the taste of these healthy and sustainable meats, they returned home with a vision to raise Ostrich and Bison on the East Coast.
Lance recalls, “Growing up, my brother [Todd] always wanted to be a farmer, and I always knew I wanted to run my own business. Right then and there, we realized, this is what we gotta do.” Just two years later, Fossil Farms was founded.

Excellent & tasty

The Kangaroo sausage is dynamite in eatable form. It is delicious and a great summer (or any season) grilling treat for the wild game lovers. Highly recommend as an addition to any backyard patio grilling event.
