Venison Hot Honey Meatball Bowl with Rice and Broccoli

Prep Time: 45 minutes • Yields: 4 servings

Ingredients:
1 pkg. Fossil Farms' New Zealand Venison Ground, 1lb.
½ cup breadcrumbs
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 egg
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp. dried oregano
Salt & pepper to taste
Hot Honey Sauce:
½ cup honey
2 cup hot sauce (adjust to taste)
1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
½ tbsp. red pepper flakes
(optional, for extra heat)
Rice Bowl & Broccoli:
2 cups white or brown rice, raw
4 cups broccoli florets
2 tbsp. olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Garnish:
2 tbsp. sesame seeds

Oven
Large skillet
Large mixing bowl
Baking sheet
Parchment paper
Small saucepan
Knife & Cutting board

Saucepan or rice cooker

Method:
Prepare the Meatballs:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, combine the ground Venison, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, salt, black
pepper, and oregano. Mix until well combined.
3. Form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on the prepared
baking sheet.
4. Bake the meatballs for 15-20 minutes, or until they are cooked through and browned.

Prepare the Hot Honey Sauce:
5. In a small saucepan, combine the honey, hot sauce, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes (if using).
6. Heat over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is well combined and heated through.
Remove from heat and set aside.

Prepare the Rice & Broccoli:
7. Cook the rice according to the package instructions.
8. While the rice is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
9. Add the broccoli florets to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and sauté for 5-7 minutes, or until
the broccoli is tender and slightly crispy.

Assemble the Bowls:
10. Divide the cooked rice evenly among four bowls. Top each bowl with the sautéed broccoli and
Venison meatballs.
11. Drizzle the hot honey sauce over the meatballs and garnish with sesame seeds. Serve immediately and enjoy!
